Not a runner? Not a problem!

In a rare non-running related post on this blog, we just wanted to remind our followers that whilst marathon running is a fantastic way to raise funds and awareness, there are other ways you can get involved with helping the Bhopal Medical Appeal. If you are stuck for awareness-raising or fundraising ideas, then check out our suggestions below and have a look at the “Ways to Help” section on our website here.

You can host an awareness-raising or fundraising event, take part in a sponsored event, or join us on one of our BMA led events. This is a great way to get involved, and you can find out more about upcoming events here. If you want to do something active but you don’t fancy running a marathon or a 10k, then why not do your own sponsored run, where you set the route and the distance? You can even do it in fancy dress! If you don’t want to run at all then you could walk, jog, skip, hop or cycle! Previously, our supporters have also organised coffee mornings, curry evenings, film screenings, yoga fundraisers and pop-up shops. There are no limits to what you can do to help raise funds and awareness for the BMA.

If you have an idea about how you’d like to get involved, or if you’d like some more information about what you can do to help, then give us a call on 01273 603278 or e-mail us on We can’t wait to hear from you!
